Volvo Masters Amateur – A World Wide Website Fit For a Worldwide Event
Brand new for 2009 is an interactive Volvo Masters Amateur forum on Facebook, which will enable amateur players in Finland to compare notes with their friends in France, Japanese golfers can communicate with the German counterparts as can South African and Spanish enthusiasts.
And, through our own Golf TV, Volvo’s golf professional Derwynne Honan gives tips and lessons & test and reviews exclusively on the new Volvo Masters Amateur portal.
A monthly newsletter, an interactive golf glossary and quiz, all part of the new Volvo Masters Amateur website.
“The new Volvo Masters Amateur website, www.volvomastersamateur.com is essential reading for the tens-of-thousands of amateur players taking part this year,” says Sofie Van Reusel, the project manager, who adds, “It’s fun, it’s informative and it’s fast-moving.”
Steven Lefebvre, new media manager at Volvo Event Management adds, “We needed an online resource that matches the dynamism and the dedication of Volvo’s amateur master golfers and by matching the best features from before with new innovations, I’m sure we have a world wide website to reflect a worldwide golf series.”
The 2009 Volvo Masters Amateur series takes place in more than two dozen countries around the world with over 60,000 amateur golfers hitting well over a million golf shots with a single aim, to qualify for a seat on the plane to Spain at this autumn’s Volvo Masters Amateur World Final, which will be concluded over the exact Finca Cortesín course that the Volvo World Match Play Championship was won and lost just 24 hours earlier.
